First-install heads-up
These installers are not yet code-signed. Your operating system will warn you on first run:
- Windows: SmartScreen says "Unknown publisher" — click More info → Run anyway.
- macOS: the installer (.pkg) isn't signed yet, so macOS blocks it on first run. Double-click it (you'll see a warning), then open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the "Lookopen Remote was blocked" message and click Open Anyway → Open. You only do this once. (The app it installs is Apple-notarized and launches normally afterwards.)
- Linux: No warning. The .deb is signed via Debian's normal packaging; the AppImage is verified by SHA-256 below.
Each installer's SHA-256 is shown next to the download link so you can verify out-of-band. How to check the hash →

The Lookopen Remote relays advertise a fixed ed25519 public key. Your client verifies every connection against this fingerprint:

Endpoints: rd-za.lookopen.com (primary, Cape Town) and
rd-eu.lookopen.com (failover, Frankfurt). The client tries
them in order; failover happens automatically within seconds.
